DQS4 Quilt DONE!

I finished my little quilt for the Doll Quilt Swap IV and got it off to my partner this morning! (Notice how I didn't say "send it off"? Hint, hint!). I know I've shown sneak peeks of this quilt on my blog before, but I was glad to get the binding done while recovering from my knee surgery. I love these fabrics and I'm happy with how it came out, though I must admit there are a few goofs in the binding, and I am not proficient enough in hand sewing to figure out how to make them better. I hope my partner doesn't mind!

Of course, I can't show the back & label yet, but I'll post them as soon as I hear that my partner received her package. There were some other goodies in there, too ... I hope she likes them!

Mine should be arriving any day now ... ... ...

  3. I love this little quilt. It is perfect!
Even though you say you had trouble with the binding, I think it looks great. I was having trouble with my bindings, but then I saw the Binding tutorial Bonnie Hunter (Quiltville.com) put up on her website and that helped me quite a lot.
Hope you have an easy recovery from your surgery!

  6. Darling mini -- and glad to hear you're recovering well from the scope. It's not right for every quilt, but you might want to take a look at Melody Johnson's "Escape Hatch Finish," found here.

  7. This is a cute little quilt. Love the colors. I think the binding looks great. Have your tried to do it by machine yet? It seems the more binding I put on the better I get. Check out my blog in the next coming weeks and I will show you the quilts I have done and the binding that is done by machine.
