Flickr user Mel Sews recently posted this completed quilt. She also used the "Wonderland" line (like my original) but substituted the honey bun strips with a solid brown linen. I love the different look that it gives to the quilt!
Lynne from Quilts and Cats recently completed this stunning version made from the "Tranquility" line by Sandy Gervais. Lynne's using hers as a wallhanging. Hmmmm, a great idea as I think about how we'll decorate our next home ...
Poor Jess (aka hectichousehold) recently broke her arm, and do you know what she did to soothe her pain? She hit her scrap bin and made a quilt block based on my pattern! She even improvised a bit and added a few more slices. Check it out:
I absolutely love seeing what you've all done with my pattern. And I have to admit that I am glad (and relieved!) that you've all said such nice things about the tutorial. I'm still fairly new at this, so the feedback is awesome ... and I'm so glad that you're enjoying it!
If you make an "off the grid" quilt, I sure would love to see it!
These are so beautiful! I loved your original and I like the window pane look of the first one.
ReplyDeleteSo many quilt, and great fabric, so little time!

ReplyDeleteI love these interpretations, particularly Mel Sews' quit with the brown linen strips. I have one pieced and ready to quilt, and will post pics as soon as it's done! It was a great quilt to make, and your tutorial was excellent! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful how inspiration encourages more inspiration?! You must be so proud!
ReplyDeleteI too like your pattern. It's neat to what other quilter's are doing with it. Look forward to seeing more patterns.
ReplyDeleteIsn't wonderful to see the other's interpretations of your design? Fun post.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a great quilt pattern!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing these! I always forget to check the Moda Bake Shop blog and there are such great patterns on there. Perfect for the little baby quilt I needed to make this week!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilts! I'm learning to quilt and am more into scrap (Bonnie
ReplyDeleteHunter) or traditional designs but you've got some really cool modern looking quilts. Very interesting.
Could you tell me what the dimensions onthis quilt are?
ReplyDeleteAquaBaby ... your comments are set to "no-reply", so I hope you check back here for the answer! This quilt finishes out at about 50" square.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteWell, John, I promised I'd let you know when I finally got mine done - so come check out the finished result at http://confessionsofafabricaddict.blogspot.com/2010/04/hi-all-with-help-of-my-little-assistant.html. (Sorry, I'm not technically savvy enough yet to use Flickr!) I couldn't be happier with it!!
