Fine Feathered Friends

Here's what's sitting on my cutting table right now:

What I'm playing with ...

I am having a BLAST playing with Laurie Wisbrun's new "Nesting Chairs" fabric line, available via her Scarlet Fig Etsy shop. I've really enjoyed watching Laurie continue to put out limited release fabric collections via her Etsy shop ... in addition to her wildly successful lines for Robert Kaufman, like Tufted Tweets and Urban Circus. Besides Nesting Chairs, she's got some other great prints in her Etsy shop -- check out Polar Bear Dots, Modern Whimsy, and (of course!) Donkeys & Wellies.

I wasn't sure which color way of Nesting Chairs I wanted to work with, so Laurie sent both ... with one caveat:

I had actually planned on using these grey and yellow prints, but went in the blue & orange direction once I pulled a couple of coordinates from my stash. These colors are amazing, though. Check out the pillow that Ashley made from this color story. So cute!

    What an awesome giveaway! I feel greedy since I actually already have a fat quarter bundle of these prints, but would love to have a bit more to play with... maybe I could make a quilt for our couch in addition to the pillows! :)

    I don't know what I would make but it would be something spectacular if this bundle is involved!     gorgeous awesome fabrics... I use some discarded and ratty (two but beginning to need 3) chair pads on my computer chair as padding to boost me to a better ergonomic height for my sewing machine which is the same height as my pc. I keep thinking a sewer should have a pretty booster cushion not the old ones that are part broken from the dining room chairs, I would love to use this fabric to nest in my computer chair with :)

    I'm looking for fabric to decoupage a little coffee table thats been needing some love, so if they head this way *Fingers crossed* thats the master plan :)
