Oh, and I guess this type of thing is inevitable when a boy grows up with two older sisters:
Nothing wrong with a little ballet every now and then! At least we got him to take the barrette out of his hair ...
Off to Chicago tomorrow for a class lasting through Wednesday. No quilting (and probably no posts) for the next few days.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Hey John,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link on the Hungry Caterpillar designs. Much appreciated! Your bbq looks lovely. Much nicer than the winter closing in around us in the southern hemisphere! Thanks - Jen
Yes this is exactly what happens when there are 2 older sisters. I have the same combo - 2Girls & 1boy. The good thing is that he will be able to talk to girls - a very good trait to have.
ReplyDeleteHello, I just found your blog, VERY cool that you are a man quilter! I'm still working on my DH, but no luck so far, LOL! Maybe if he reads your blog he will finally see the light. BTW, can you have a Clancy 1 AND a Clancy 2? They are darling little baby dogs! Amie in Tn.
ReplyDeleteLOL Indeed it is! I remember coming home from a weekend retreat (long ago) and my daughters had dressed up their two year old brother in their clothes...including barrettes and lipstick if I remember correctly. :-)
ReplyDeleteHi John, Just read that you will be joining us on the Four season's swap and wanted to welcome you to the gaggle of women. I hope you enjoy the process and get to meet many more fellow quilters.
ReplyDeletewish i would have known you were coming, i would have baked a cake. no seriously, i live near chicago, we could have met up!! i think most boys end up wearing a dress at some point in their lives, hehe
ReplyDeleteha! i just read what anonymous said, i like the sound of that....man quilter!!
ReplyDeleteheehe i think that will be your nickname from now on in the 6"-12" group!!
John, I'm sure my son will be running around in a tutu anytime now - did you see my post a week ago or so? He had like 7-8 pink hair clips all over his head! It was hilarious!!!
ReplyDeleteMy son is sandwiched between 2 sisters and when younger (he is now almost 12) he and his older sister loved to dress up in all sorts of beautiful outfits. The photos and videos are now mortifying to him!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is so sweet! And the BBQ looks delicious...
ReplyDeleteuh, oh you better hurry up and make a new post! you will be getting some blog love from the group really soon here!!
ReplyDeleteSame thing happened to my son - don't worry he turned out ok - he graduates from high school in a couple of weeks. On the positive side I think he is more comfortable around girls than a lot of guys his age.
ReplyDeleteCute picture, I laughed! He'll be just fine...siblings prepare you for the real world!
ReplyDeleteMe too, with the whole 2 girls then a boy thing - you should see what he was wearing the other day, while playing with two little girls who were dressing up. He's five; I'm cool with whatever he wants to dress up in. If he's still wearing that sort of stuff when he's 15, well, that might be a different story!
ReplyDeleteAlQS looks great BTW.
